Perform prerequisite steps for extending a cluster

In Oracle® Clusterware Administration and Deployment Guide 11g Release 2 (11.2) , the section, Prerequisite Steps for Adding Cluster Nodes , lists the following steps:

1. Make physical connections.
2. Install the operating system.
3. Create Oracle users.
4. Ensure that SSH is configured on the node.
5. Verify the hardware and operating system installations with the Cluster Verification Utility (CVU).
